LindaLando Fine Art evolved from the Alex Fraser Galleries, which was established in Vancouver in 1940, after a number of successful years on Bond Street in London, England. While acquainting himself with local artists and the Canadian art scene, Alex Fraser continued to focus on European Art, a phase of the business which would eventually be replaced with an historical Canadian art specialization. By 1950 Alex Fraser had firmly ensconced himself in the Canadian market representing many well-known local artists such as Peter Ewart, Allen Sapp, and W.J. Phillips. The gallery was also developing a reputation for paintings by historical Canadian masters.
