As a subsidiary of TransLink, Fraser River Marine Transportation is responsible for providing ferry service for vehicles and walk-on passengers across the Fraser River between Maple Ridge and Fort Langley. The service started in 1957 and was operated by the Provincial Ministry of Transportation and Highways, until the transfer of its responsibility to the Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority (TransLink) on April 1, 1999.
