Just FYI
We visited Long Beach on Vancouver Island in summer 2011 and stopped in to just see the view and decide if we wanted to stay the day.
Within 10 min’s we were charged a parking violation $ 42 for failing to pay the full $ 19 ticket it costs a family to park there for any length of time. Since then we have been hounded by Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and now Kolectick, the Govn’t of Canada’s private parks collection agency.
Food for thought…

I made a formal complaint to Parks Canada – Head Office as I feel it is my family and my right to view beautiful BC without duress and pompous government charges.
